Mello tilted his head back and stared at the patterns on Matt's bedroom ceiling. In some places the slight bumps made shapes and faces. He couldn't help but notice the dots and lines connecting them that he'd drawn on with a marker when he was younger. The blonde smiled to himself thinking about how sugar high he was that day, Matt was terrified at the sight of him so happy.
Matt stood up and moved to the other side of his chaotic room and started searching for his PSP.
"Where is it...?" He muttered quietly, digging his hands through piles of clothes, wires and other games.
"Can't you put the games down for at least a LITTLE while?" Mello groaned as the gamer finally pulled it out of one of the piles.
"Nope, not yet at least" Matt replied with a grin, lying on the bed propping himself up with his elbows and beginning a new game.
"Hmph," Mello rolled his eyes and stuck out his tongue. His friend's constant gaming was starting to get to him, as much as he loved being around Matt, he could only take so much before he got restless. Matt, however, couldn't get enough of the games and was already so absorbed into the game he just grabbed that there could be a bloodbath going on downstairs and he wouldn't even move.
The blonde sighed and went back to staring at the ceiling. Maybe I just need to do something to get his attention; Mello mused and with a sudden realisation moved to the end of the bed near Matt's feet.
Matt was ticklish, very ticklish.
Slender fingers slowly crept closer to Matt's feet, prepared dart back if the distracted boy were to turn his head. With the quick leap of his hands, Mello smirked and moved his fingers across Matt's feet, paying special attention to the redhead's spots that he knew were going to affect him the most.
Matt flailed in surprise and dropped his game, "MELLO!! STOP THAT!" he wailed, laughing In between words. To avoid being kicked by his scrawny-but quite strong legs, Mello pinned them down and moved over Matt until he was sitting right above the button on his jeans and began tickling his torso. Mello felt euphoric being this close to Matt, it sent his heart racing and a slight blush crept onto his cheeks. As the snickering blonde danced his fingers skillfully over the squirming boy under him, he looked into his eyes.
Something he saw made him stop for a second though; Matt's eyes darted away from his.
Mello was baffled, but he didn't let that stop him for too long. Before Matt could use this pause to his advantage the blonde pinned him down harder and leaned down until his face was a mere inch from his friend's.
"Boo."
Matt glared and resisted the urge to stick out his tongue at Mello, "That wasn't fair. I was in the middle of a game"
"Tough luck, Matty" Mello snickered, his heart still racing at the fact that he was on top of the red head.
"Could you move your head back so I can stick my tongue out at you without licking your face?"
"Nah, this is more fun" Mello grabbed Matt's hand and started pulling him out of the room and down the hall.
"Where are we going, Mello?" Matt questioned, stumbling to keep up with the energetic blonde.
"I'm in dire need of some nutrients, we're going to the kitchen" Mello said looking both ways before sneaking into the kitchen and looking back at the gamer smiling. He hadn't had chocolate all day and he was starting to feel the symptoms of withdrawal kick in. Matt leaned against a counter, watching his addicted friend search through the cupboards for his favourite treat. His face reddened at the sight of Mello's slender figure bending in awkward positions to find the most recent hiding place Roger and the kitchen staffs has chosen.
Matt looked around the kitchen, trying to distract himself from his friend. Oh look, a stove, Matt thought as Mello was climbing out of the cupboards with a satisfied look on his face and chocolate in his hands. "I found it! They'll never be able to hide chocolate from me." He said while chuckling. He really was like a five year old when it came to chocolate.
Before Matt could react, Mello grabbed his hand and was already dragging him up the stairs to Mello's bedroom. Matt was confused, "Why're we going to your room?"
Mello pulled out a box and sat his friend on the bed, "Dress up."
"How old are you again?"
"14, got a problem with this?" Mello grinned evilly and pulled out one of the clothing items that he had stolen from Linda.
Matt chuckled and lay on Mello's bed, watching him check himself out in the full length mirror on his door. Secretly, Matt was checking him out as well. The blonde ran into his closet and within seconds was back out, in a short skirt and tank top checking him out in the mirror again. Matt could feel the blood rush to his cheeks, Mello really could pull off anything.
The redhead pushed himself into a sitting position and was about to lift off of the bed, "I'll be right back, I'm going to get some games." He needed something to distract him from these thoughts.
Mello gave his signature evil grin and stepped closer to his friend, "No, you're not going anywhere." The blonde wasn't about to let Matt get away this time, he was too close to what he has been aiming for all day.
"But Me-" Matt started.
"No buts, you're staying here with me" The blonde slightly leaned over Matt, looking down at him. He noticed his friend's cheeks get redder and smiled.
"W-what are you doing?" Matt asked, feeling like his heart is going to jump out of his chest. He was ecstatic; this was like a dream come true to him.
As if to answer his question, Mello shakily wraps his arms around Matt and pressed his lips to the other boy's, pouring as much emotion as he can into the kiss and for once showing how nervous he really was. He relaxed a bit when he felt the redhead's arms wrap around him, pulling him closer. Mello pulled back slightly and smiled, his cheeks burning. "I've wanted to do that for a while, I love you Matt."
"So that's why you pulled me away from everything?" Matt smiled, looking into Mello's icy blue eyes.
Mello nodded and smiled apologetically, "Yeah…"
"I must say, this is a lot better than any game I know of. I love you too, Mello. A lot." The redhead winked, finally relaxing and pulled Mello in for another kiss.
